Help me find an old love song. Something about I never heard the birds sing until I met you.?

This is an old love song sung by a man to his wife. He is talking about all the things he never really experienced until he met his wife. He never really heard the birds sing, etc. "Until I met you."

Looking for lyrics. Music is a bonus. Thanks in advance. Probably from the era of "Because (you come to me)" that Perry Como sang.

It's an oldie, that has been covered many, many times. I don't know the original author, but remember this being covered by Rod Stewart and The Beatles, to name but two!

The title is "Till There Was You"

    Lyrics:

    "'Till There Was You"

There were bells on a hill

But I never heard them ringing

No, I never heard them at all

    Till there was you

There were birds in the sky

But I never saw them winging

No, I never saw them at all

    Till there was you

Then there was music and wonderful roses

They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows

    Of dawn and dew

    There was love all around

But I never heard it singing

No I never heard it at all

    Till there was you

Then there was music and wonderful roses

They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows

    Of dawn and dew

    There was love all around

But I never heard it singing

No, I never heard it at all

    Till there was you

    Till there was you

If I find out who wrote it, I'll edit and add it on!

    Hope this is it!
