Crime is the word used to describe the body of illegal acts. Criminality is used to describe the individual's actions.

Crime is caused by individuals. Their reasons vary and some may have something to do with what you mention. The bottom line, though, is that some individual decided in his/her mind that the action would be okay, it is justified in their mind.

Both have been explained in the other answers but as to what the cause....Each person has the same opportunity in schools in their community. Different parents true. But you will see children of loving, good parents that seem to not know right from wrong so can't always blame parents.

I blame the person ....they know the paths they chose to go down and disregard the outcome of it, they just rely on others to help them out of it. So no, each person has to answer to their own actions.

It means society has yet failed to decide whether they want those that are convicted to be imprisoned and punished or rehabbed! They can't have it both ways!
