what kind of concealers should i use? Please recommend.?

I have totally no clue what are the different types of concealers available. All i know is whenever i dont get enough sleep i end up getting horrible dark circles around my eye. I try my best to get sufficient sleep when i can. Aside from going for relaxation to help my eye bags please let me know what kind of concealers are available and which to use?

If it helps i'm asian and have fair skin.

Help please? Thank you.

New York Color made a cheap one in the fairest shade that worked for me. If you're fair, it should work for you too. It is creamy enough not to show lines, and blends without tugging at the delicate eye skin.

Concealers won't help eye bags, but a cool compress will help. (and as you said, get some more sleep!)

BAREMINERALS!! You can get it on line at Sephora or Ulta and QVC. I used to wear liquid foundation and concealer by Clinuqe when I was a teen and in my twenties. I'm almost thirty now and I noticed it just wasn't cutting it anymore. When I gave this a try I was amazed. Not only does it take less time to put on but it also has improved the way my skin looks and feels. Its all powders and I thought it will never give me enough coverage but I was wrong. The powders all have between 15 and 20 SPF as well so that's a big plus. APPLICATION All you do is apply the face minerals with a brush. You put a little in the lid and then take the special brush swirl it into the lid tap the excess off and buff it into the skin with a circular motion. Then you take the concealer brush dab it into the powder tap it off in the lid and start tapping it on to the areas you want to cover. DONE!!! There are also different color concealers out there to help cover different colors up. Green for redness Yellow for dark under eye circles but to be honest they are hard to use because you need to blend blend blend and if you use the wrong color or too much you look like your playing Halloween! Try the Minerals you wont be sorry and if you have Tivo tape a QVC Bare minerals Special. It will tell you about all the products and give you step by step instructions! Good luck!

The more make up you use.. it gradually ages your skin.. and it makes people look older faster. Now while your young, that may be a cool thing, but you may regret wearing so much make up when you get older.

I've never used concealer.. it clogs your skin, causes acne, and ages you. The most I used (when I was a teen) was a concealer stick to hide acne..

Your best bet.. get a concealing stick, and cover the bags under your eyes.. and then take some powder (in your skin tone too) and cover the concealer stick, and then do a light dusting over your face with out the concealer stick.

    That should be enough.

As for eye bags and such there are a few things you can do..

tea bags resting on your eyes helps, cucumbers help.. even a warm wet wash cloth resting over your eyes, helps.

I think it’s important to really understand the causes of you dark circles before trying to treat the dark circles. My friend has serious dark circles and her dark circles are improving by following the information provided by http://www.darkcirclesundereyescure.com/

To cover up dark circles, YSL is probably the best concealer in the market http://www.mydarkcirclesblog.com/2006/11/29/top-5-...

If you would like to know how to apply concealer, here are few simple steps that you can follow...

    1. To hide dark under eye circles, select a cosmetic under-eye concealer that’s one shade lighter than the foundation you’re using.

    2. Understand that a pale yellowish concealer helps hide blue or grayish circles, while a light blue or mauvish concealer masks brownish under-the-eye bags.

    3. Begin with a freshly washed and exfoliated face. Dab concealer under your eyes gently, using a soft circular motion.

If you are using the concealer alone or just with powder over it try to get one as close to your skin color as possible. It helps if you go to a place where they would let you try it before you buy it. In the other hand if you are using the concealer with foundation, you must choose a color one shade lighter than your skin color since you will choose the foundation closest to your skin color. At first the concealer will look really light on your skin but when you put the foundation it will blend. Hope my answer helps, good luck.

I'm half asian and I'm one of the lucky few who have hereditary circles under my eyes EW!!!! Also I'm pregnant so being tired all the time doesn't help. Even before I was pregnant I would use MAC. They have a heavy duty concealer that DOES NOT look crazy thick and they have sooooo many shades to choose from. it has SPF 35 (which is awesome!) and lasts ALL DAY. Its about $14 but one pot of those lasted me OVER A YEAR and I used it every day( I know you're supposed to toss makeup after a certain time blah blah blah but thats how good this stuff is. It really lasts!).

It also helps to use a softer concealer under that one (I like Maybelline instant age rewind). it is Lifting (for under eye bags) and brightening. Apply this one under your whole under eye area and then apply/blend the MAC just in the darker areas. I promise you it total perks you up and you'll be bright eyed in the morning!

Drink LOTS OF WATER to help reduce water retention from your body (which causes the bags).

hi, I am asian with fair skin also. Currently, I am using Bobbi Brown's concealer for eyes and I am quite satisfied with it. My product is finishing soon, and I am looking around some other option in the market.

Well, i found out that Clinique's eye concealer has other benefit too. It does not only concealer the dark circle but do help the dimish the dark color on long run. I have not use it yet but I may buy one. It comes in 2 shades only.

I have dark circles and eye bags for almost all of my life, therefore investing in eye creams is essential.

Currently, I am using Origin's eye mask and Dr Andrew Weils' eye serum, it does help, YOu can try it too.

I find out that there are different textures of concealers in the market, some comes in stick, others in jar and the latest is in pencil *** with brush.

Kanebo's concealer comes in stick - too dry for me.

Clinique's come in tube 10ml(2 shades only) - not too dry..not bad

Estee Lauder's come in pencil with brush 22ml(about 6 shades)- cheapest

Lancome's in pencil with brush about 20ml - not bad

Bobbi brown in jar (old packing in 2 tier, first tier cream, 2nd tier powder, come with puff) i am not sure about the new packing, will check it out - I love it

Asian with fair skin, but do you have oily, dry, normal, or combination skin?

Combination skin usually means that your T-zone (Forehead, nose, and chin) is oily and the rest is dry or normal.

If you have dry skin, try using a liquid concealer, one shade lighter than your skin tone, use a liquid make-up brush to apply or your clean ring finger tip. Blend in and set in with loose or pressed powder.

If you have oily skin, you may try a cream or stick concealer, also, one shade lighter than your skin tone. Apply direct or use a wedge sponge. Blend in and dab on a little powder to set it in.

If you have combination or normal skin, you may use any of the above to which you feel suits you best.

Before buying, always test the product on your jaw line and wait fort 24 hours before actual purchase to see if you are not allergic to the product.

Brands I know which are readily available in Asia (if you are in the region) are Loreal, Avon, Maybelline, VMV (Hypo-allergenic), Lancome, Neutrogenna.

My make-up artists swear by the brands cinema secrets, bobby brown and clinique.

If you want to reduce the dark circles (I have the same problem) I use an eye cream specifically for dark circles. Avon has one. I put this on before going to bed. Be sure to throughly clean face before applying the cream and never sleep with make-up on or with a dusty face.

I also use fresh sliced -cucumber slices which I leave in a small bowl of ice cubes before placing them on my eyes. I do this in the morning and leave it on for a few minutes.

Also, try teabags. (I use the just-used ones, its recyling too) which I also place in ice and then put them on my eyes.

Try to drink plenty of water as well during the day and wear sunglasses when outdoors.

If you can as well, within the day, place a few eyedrops (vaseline) on each eye to refreshen then up.
