How to install a cd into a laptop without a cd-rom drive?

I have a tiny laptop that has no cd-rom or dvd drive. I have this cd from a school book and would like to install it into my laptop. Without a cd rom drive i don't know how to install it into my laptop. Is there a software of some type that let me convert my cd into a file so i can upload it online and then download it into my laptop and install it? thanks

Creating an ISO is a great way to move the data onto your laptop. If you have a 1GB flash drive, (or big enough to hold the ISO when you're done) you can just put it on their and move it in a few seconds. To create an ISO, you can use this simple free utility: http://www.lucersoft.com/files/free/LCISOCreator.z...

Also, if you have a wireless connection on both machines, you can setup a shared folder on a desktop and access the folder from the laptop using the universal naming convention (\\ipaddress\)

save your effort and buy an external usb cd drive u can connect it to ur laptop and i'm sure u will have to use it later since u will always need data from cd and u can get this drive as a writer which can copy cd's for maybe 10 extra dolllars

There are external USB DVD/CD drives, they are a little pricey but they do exist. Just check out any large computer store like Best Buy or Circuit City.

There are even external USB DVD/CD BURNERS.

create an iso of the cdrom, migrate the data across the network onto your laptop and then mount the iso onto a virtual emulated cdrom and install like that.
