I cant access my network places on xp?
i cant accsess my network places, i have file share on but i dont even see my own files. i have 3 pc's running thru a lynksys router. i can see them all thru the router, but cant access them. i cant ping them either. they all have the same workgroup name, but no pc's show up. i have run the network wizard but to no avail.
any suggestions?

1) XP doesn't like sharing unless the login user account has a password.
2) the user account must exist on the 'sharing' computer
3) Windows firewall needs to be turned off for local file sharing If using an alternative firewall like zone alarm set the local ip range your using as trusted
Temporarily switch off the firewalls on all of them.Disconnect you network from the internet. Then try pinging them again.if it works then the problem is probably your firewalls.
