If someone drinks 3-4 12 oz dr. peppers a day and they abruptly quit, will they lose weight? How Much?
I know someone who drinks about 4 dr. peppers a day. If she was to quit will she start to lose some weight?
also by replacing the dr. pepper with water.

It still depends on how much else you eat. You are eliminating nearly 1200 cal/day by cutting out the soda, however if you still eat more calories than you burn you wont lose weight. That is the key, burn more than you take in. So...if you intake 1800 cal/day and 1200 in soda, by cutting out the soda and moderate exercise daily, you should be able to loose some weight...cant quantify how much, sorry.

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

It doesn't have a lot to do with the calories in my opinion, but the sugar.
You can become a lot healthier and have reduced weight by just cutting out sodas/pops from your daily diet. How much exactly is unsure.
