What would you do when you lost in the jungle?

With no foods to spare & no clean cloth.

You have no idea where are you.

You are just right next to a small river.

You are not able to receive any signal with your phone.

You have no GPS with you.

don't freak out. keep you composure. do you have a map and compass? if so your set. If not option 1)build a sun compass (if your under triple canopy most improvised compasses will not work, the ones you can build are not very accurate use the river instead), shoot and emergency azimuth and move along it until you hit familiar terrain, a helping hand, or a road etc., option 2) move along the creek and follow what ever it dumps into most water ways will have civilization along them at one point or another. move slow conserve energy. collect food and water whenever possible, don't exert too much energy doing so. if you feel the need improvise a weapon, and again to exert too much energy (see where the energy thing is going?) of course every situation is different and you will have to make decisions as you go. you will feel physically weak and mentally strained after a few days but keep a good positive attitude most importantly above all else don't freak out. its your head that will get you out of these tight spots.

i did get lost in the jungle once. And it is quite scary, the thing about the jungles of Sabah, depending what area you are hunting/camping in the fog can move very quickly. We usually go hunting with a group of 6-8 of us, and when we hunt we walk in pairs and split up. My partner spotted a mouse deer and took a shot, missed and chased after it. At that unlucky moment the fog started to move and we were soon split up from each other. I was lost because i hadn't marked any landmarks in my memory in the confusion, and panic was starting to settle in. i walked for about an hour and then i found a creek where i just sat for a while then started walking down stream. Had nothing but a rifle on me. After a few minutes of a slow walk i smelt smoke and heard laughing and followed it, found my camp. Turns out from the original spot where i got lost, it was only 15 minutes walk from my camp.

    Source(s): respect the jungle.

I would crouch down, put my head between my legs and kiss my butt goodbye. That seems like a hopeless situation. There are all kinds of creatures that live in the jungle. Simply leaving your vehicle is commiting suicide. A poisoinous bite, an animal attack of which you never saw coming. I couldn't imagine being in a situation like that. My only hope if any, would be to drift down the river praying that it leads to a village and not a giant body of water called an ocean.
