what is the difference from bootleg and Blitz?

I have a football question: I'm confused about the term "bootleg and "blitz". Please explain the difference. Are they the same? Also, What does "bullrun" mean? I heard John Madden use the term. Thankyou

A bootleg is a play where the quarterback runs to either side, rather than dropping straight back in the pocket. It is frequently run with a play action, or fake hand off. It is used to confuse the defense about which side the play is going to.

A blitz is a defensive play where you rush the passer with more players than usual. There are many different kinds of blitzes, but they all center around trying to sack the quarterback before he can throw a pass.

I'm not sure about bull run, I'm guessing Madden made that up on the spot. Most likely it refers to power running of some sort, running over defenders rather than around them.

Bootleg - a running play in which the quarterback fakes a handoff to a back and then carries the ball around the end oppositie to the direction the back goes. It is called bootleg because he usually carries the ball low against the outside thigh to conceal the play.

Blitz - Sending players usually in pass coverage, such as linebackers and defensive backs, to rush the passer in an attempt to trick or overload the pass protecting blockers. It is called blitz because it is reminscent of the German blitzkrieg which depended upon surprise and overloading the point of attack.

Bullrush - a pash rushing technique in which the defender places his hands on the blocker's shoulder pads and attempts to overpower him and push him straight back into the backfield to clear a lane to the quarterback. It is called bullrush because it is a pure power move which looks like two bulls battling with locked horns.

Well for starters they are on opposites sides of the ball. A bootleg is the QB holding the ball and running with it. A Blitz is when the Defense sends in extra players, more then just the D-line, in at the QB.
