Beating sound in my ear.?
I have this weird beating sound in my ear.
Sounds kinda like a heart beat.
It happens randomly, but its starting to really bug me..
It doesn't hurt at all.
Anyone know what this is all about??

It's most likely fluid build up from an ear infection. I had the same problem once back when I was in college during final exams... it was pretty annoying. You should probably get to a dr and get some antibiotics for it but in the meantime, wearing those earplugs that people use on airplanes will help.

If you are hearing the sound of your own heartbeat in your ear (which is what this is) it is time for you to get a check up of your heart function. Could be something there that needs fixing, but you will never know unless you get it checked out.

Unless it hurts I would not be worried about it. Mine does it all the time but I have a thyroid problem that causes heart palpitations. When this happens to you can you feel your pulse any where else beating hard? Like in your neck if so I am assuming that this is what you are feeling. Again like I said I wouldn't worry about it unless it starts to be associated with other problems.

Is it much higher frequency than your heart beat? It's probably a "twitch" in a vein near your eardrum, it happens to me a lot. I get twitches in my muscles a lot too, sometimes in my eye lids. It's most likely nothing to worry about, people on here want you to run to the doctor for almost everything (not saying that's bad, better safe than sorry, but it's unnecessary in most cases).

I have the same, it's when you hear a sound that your ear can't stand, or someone singing on a weird pitch. go to the doctors to ask him how to make it stop.

i've known someone to have this due to a small artery near the inner ear, it was transient and usually happend due to an increase in blood pressure or barimetric changes and it is your heartbeat

Go see a doctor. Don't take chances with the ears.
All the best.
