If you are a Christian, how long have you been saved?

Just wondering who has been a Chistian the longest. I'm over 30 years now, and I praise the Lord everyday for his goodness and mercy, in Jesus name AMEN

I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was ten. I still remember the joy of my salvation! I suppose that would be for....42yrs. now, I have been redeemed!

That depends on what you mean by saved. If it means having Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, paying for your sins and guarenteeing your ressurection then you have been saved for far more than 30 years.

In the premortal life when we lived with our Eternal Father and his Son Jesus Christ we rejoiced as we watched this earth prepared for us to come and receive mortal bodies and to be tested to see if we would keep God's commandments and accept Jesus Christ as our Savior. A grand council was held to determine who would come to earth and be that Savior. A Savior was necessary because one of the conditions of mortality would be the loss of memory of all things heavenly, and being subject to the weaknesses of the flesh. We knew that with out help we would all sin and could not return, Lucifer, the Son of the Morning, volunteered but demanded the Glory of God for doing so and promising that all would be forced to keep the comandments. In so doing he would destroy the agency of man and negate the test. Christ stepped forward and accepted the calling (offering his life to pay for our sins) with no reservations and giving all glory to the Father. Satan rebelled and a war in heaven pursued, debate over who to follow, Christ or Lucifer, and finally a vote was taken. Satan lost and was cast out of heaven, down to the new earth, and he took with him all those spirits that chose to follow him. One third of the hosts of heaven. From that day we were guarenteed salvation or ressurection.

Just as a universal fall into mortality was done by one man, so the ressurection and salvation of all men was accomplished through the atonement of Christ. Now the reward or punishment for our actions here is another matter.

So you have been saved for a lot more than 30 years.

Oh yes, In this earth life I am older than you, but I can't remember how old I was before being born.

    Have You Been Saved

I trusted Christ as Lord and Savior in the spring of 1964. God sent a young lady into my life to lead me to Christ in 1962. When I left for the Navy in 1965, God sent her on her way since her job with me was done. Several years ago, I sent her a letter thanking her for her part in my salvation and outlining where my life had gone because of her.

I now spread God's Word to anyone who will listen and have been a Bible teacher since 1988.

I have always believed in Jesus, but actually gave my life to him complete with public baptism dunked in water about 2 years ago. I had been baptized as a baby, but finally understood there is a difference and the second baptism, as an adult, was a commandment. Finally married a man who walks the walk, too.

Around 16 years. I went to church and all before that, but I didn't have a relationship with Jesus.
