I thought peoples are asking question to find answer, but it is not so they are asking to earn points.?

How can a person earn points by asking questions? . One looses 5 points on asking a question. Yaa... some people may be doing such things. But all are not the same. It's your wish regarding Q&A. I personally think, some people are very serious and some are not. . It's a fun-filled way of exchanging information. Views and opinions differ from person to person.

You would agree that there are all kinds of people in this world. Likewise most of the users on answers are here because they want to share their knowledge and expertise. Many users are here because they genuinely find it a great place to find answers to things they want to know. However when you ask a question on this site you lose 5 points so i dont really know how someone could ask questions to gain points.

Let this not discourage you from your goal of asking questions to find answers to your queries. There are many people out here who do the same.
