    2nd one:

    3/2 y - y = 4 + 1/2 y

    --

    3/2y - 2/2 y = 1/2 y

    so we have

    1/2 y = 4 + 1/2y .. not solvable... try the first one!

    ----------------

    2w-6 + 5 = 3w -3

    2w-3w = -3 -5 +6

    -w = -2

    w = 2

    -----------

    3rd:

    7/4 +3/4 g = -1/8 g

    6/8 g + 1/8 g = -7/4

    7/8 g = -7/4

    g = -7/4 x 8/7 = -8/4 = -2

    ----

    you can add detail to explain what the 2nd equation is?

    is it really?:

    (3/2) y -y = 4 +(1/2) y

    2(w-3)+5=3(w-1)

    2w - 6 + 5 = 3w - 3 distribute

    2w - 1 = 3w - 3 add the -6 and 5

    add three to both side

    2w + 2 = 3w

    subtract 2w

    2 = w don't need to have 1w and divide

    next problem

    3/2 y-y =4+1/2 y

    subtract the 3/2 from both sides

    -y = 4 + -2y

    add 2y to both sides

    y = 4 (not sure)

    next

    1/4(7+3g) =-g/8

    7/4 + 3/4g = -1/8g (same thing as -g/8)

    subtract 3/4g

    7/4 = -7/8g

    divide -7/8

    56/28 = g

    1/2 = g
