Do you really need to wear makeup approved for contact users?

I just got contacts, and I was wondering if I need to go out and buy new makeup. I have maybeline mascera and off brand eye shadow and liner. Can I war this until I get makeup approved?

Thanks

No, you don't need to go out and buy a whole new make-up range (unless you want an excuse to! lol).. Waterproof mascara is always helpful if you're going to be applying eye drops, but i've never really had any trouble with standard mascara running into my eyes when using eyedrops, so i wouldn't say it was necessary. I have to use waterproof eye liner, as i line the inner rims of my eyes - and anything else seems to rub off onto my contacts. Maybelline Great Wear is an excellent eyeliner for the inner rims, it lasts me all day even while i'm wearing lenses and applying eye drops throughout. Standard eye shadow and liner for the upper eyelid is absolutely fine. If you do find that your eyes become more sensitive while you're wearing contacts, a good make is Almay, which is created especially for sensitive eyes and is mostly waterproof.

Also, make sure that your mascara and eyeliner don't extend beyond 2-3 months of use - the bacteria that can grow on them in that time can give you an eye infection.

    Good luck!

You have to be careful how you apply it and the make up can't be older than 3 months.
