Linux diversity on one drive?
How would one best partition a drive so that they could have multiple flavors of linux on one hard drive to test web apps with and get to know linux better? I would ultimately like to have the Vista (though I very much dislike it), XP, if I can find it, Fedora, SuSe and the ability to put one more variant on the same drive. have seen this in the past, but have not idea how best to do it myself. I am not a linux guru, so the simpler the instructions, the better.
Thank you very much for the help.
Yes, I know I need partitions. What I am unsure as to how to name and setup, as the different flavors need the same partition names.
I guess I had looked at vmware, but it just confused me, in what I really need. I really don't need to run them simultaneously, but if it is easy, that is a bonus. I look at the player page you submitted, but it looks like you have to have other products to make the player work. WHy can't there just be a simple solution for non-techs to learn and test other oses. I will go through their stuff again tomorrow and see if I can figure it all out. Thanks for the tip.

Gparted is a partition editor for linux used by Ubuntu and other distros. There is even a livecd available.

Other than that, do any windows installs first, then your Linux installs. Windows doesn't like to play well with others.

Have you thought about using VMware Player? Run multiple OS's at the same time virtually. Perfect for testing apps!
