its is a 1 scoop per 2 cups. ratio so in that size of maker, you will use two good scoops (tablespoons) for the 4 cup maker.

Okay, as you can see there are many different answers to this question. I guess I would start by asking what part of the country you live in. Out east, Mass., NY, Maine, NH area, they like it strong approx 1/4 cup for 4 cups of coffee, in the upper mid-west, they like it is somewhat weaker, 1/4 cup minus a tablespoon. Deep south, they again like a stronger cup of coffee, 1/4 plus appx a tablespoon. But, I happen to think that coffee should taste like coffee, start with 1/4 cup and adjust up or down from there.

In my four cup maker...I used 1 tablespoon not packed down. This made it not to heavy or to light. I only use Dunkin coffee so it may vary on the roast you get with other brands.

Try 2 Tablespoons per cup. Then again on the back of your coffee can there would be directions.

depends on how you like it. Start with six tablespoons and work from there.
