Why is my Order thru Google Checkout cheaper?

Bought some shirts from hawes&curtis that came to a total of 211pounds but at Google checkout, it came to a total of 175 pounds. Is there a catch & am i still goin to be billed the remaining 36pounds? I am aware that the VAT for the u.k is 17.5% which is approx what i wasn't billed. Is that the catch? Or Did that happen cos i am not based in the u.k?

If you do not owe VAT you may owe an tax on the shirts as an import.

Im no longer exaggerating just to be humorous on Y!A, it truly is a real tale. i grew to become into going into the ten products or much less checkout and that i purely had possibly 3 or 4 issues and as quickly as I have been given there i observed this woman making use of the scanner with an entire basket! the guy who grew to become into "observing" the scanning section did absolutly no longer something approximately it. i grew to become into fairly pissed.
