how many of you know the answer to this.?

God promised Noah that he would never flood the earth again & he put the rainbow in the sky so everytime we see it we can remember the promise

In the old testament, God put it (the rainbow) in the sky after the flood to promise (Noah) the earth that he would never flood it again.

Isnt the rainbow suppossed to be a sign between God and ummm someone- that reminds them that they have kinda made the promise to each other? i know its in the old testament somewhere!

It came from Physics, I really don't want to explain cause I already passed physics class and don't wanna return to that state of mind.

Let's just say it's the spectrum of light from teh sun shining through the droplets of water after the rain

it depends on how you look at it: the scientific way and the way of the bible.

scientific: there mus have been some type of translucent object that caught a ray of light and there was the spectrum of light in the sky

bible: after the flood god promised that he wouldn't destroy the earth with water and that was the sign of his promise, that and the dove with the olive branch

Wasn't that the sign that God gave to let us know he would never flood the earth again? After the flood where Noah built the ark?

God's promise not to flood the earth again. Seems to have changed his mind though.
