What are the best nappies?

My son is 20 months old, I have tried Pampers baby dry, Pampers active fit, Pampers easy up pants, Huggies (standard) and Huggies natural fit.

He has got diarrhorea and they all leak, please help.

Update:

I have tried size 4+ and 5 which cover his weight, 6 would be too big.

Make sure you have the right size and change him frequently. Unfortunately none of them are completely leak proof when it comes to diarrhoea. I hope he gets better soon.

My baby is 7 weeks old tomorrow, and I'm breastfeeding. Because breastfed babies have runnier poo I've had nothing but problems with nappies leaking everywhere, especially Pampers. Huggies were not really much better, and I found that they didn't fit too well either. The only nappies I've found so far that don't leak are Tesco's own brand. They fit well, they are really absorbent, and they are so much cheaper than the brand name nappies.

Pampers are pretty good. If your son has diarrhoea then sadly they will leak, this happened when my little boy (9 months) had it last week (I gave him some vegetable soup and it disagreed with him bless him!), his nappies leaked up his back although normally they never do.

Cloth nappies work for some people but were a nightmare for me - my son kept getting nappy rash no matter how often I changed and cleaned him! I just had to abandon them. He seems fine in disposables, maybe because the skin stays drier in them.

My daughters nappies are always leaking, I use pampers active fit. Make sure you fully open the nappy and stretch it out, you could try getting a "rubber pant" these are often used instead of swim nappies and are quite tight around the leg, this could help until the runs pass.

You can tried use plastic covers, the ones that you use whit no reusables nappies for wrap , this way you put the huggies or pampers and then you put the plastic cover and this will not prevent the leaking but it will prevent the clothes get dirty, I did that and it work

    Good luck

Now this is my question to answer!! I tried all the name brands for my daughter. But she always peed trough them. Then a friend told me about White Cloud diapers that are only sold in Wal*mart, you buy a case of them for like $15.00. I love them I wish I could be there spokes person. I tell everyone I know about them. So if you have a wal*mart try them out. They also have a White Cloud supreme too that are also great!! But the regular ones seem thicker. Once i bought those she never peed through again. Even when she had diarrhea they never leaked.

I hope this helps and your little one gets better soon.

i would say pampers, the thing is though if your kiddy has diarrhorea then most nappies do leak im afraid... i done the nappy trials and i remember my little girl had diarreah at the same time and they all leaked a bit.. i ended up biuying bigger size nappies and putting them over the smaller nappies so she was wearing 2 to prevent leakage...poor kid could barely walk with all that on though now lol. hope it gets better soon xx

I use huggies supreme. One thing to do is to make sure you completely open the diaper before you put it on him. Pull the elastic sides away from the inner part of the diaper, make sure the pocket in the back-inner portion of the diaper is pulled away from the diaper. Doing all these things will help to insure the proper fit and give the poo some place to go other than out the top or the sides. YUK!

Try the own brand nappies from supermarkets. Could try putting a pair of normal cotton pants over the nappy to hold it a bit more snug against his bottom?
