More on DeWalt 733 Planer. Is it safe to power up?

Located and replaced motor shaft and outfeed roller sprockets.

Roller was frozen. Pulled, polished , lubed and reinstalled. Both

now turn by hand. Motor shaft will not move. On other side, cutter drive, belt is intact and turns freely, knives turn freely with the belt. Do I have yet another problem over there? Tried

to get cover off but it won't budge. If I really must get it off, it

will come off. The day the machine went down, the motor ran freely until I turned it off. That's about all I have.....

Thanks y'all...appreciate....

you said that you replaced the motor shaft!

then you said the motor shaft wont turn,?

was there a set screw that you forgot to tighten ? or a keyway left out?

need some clairification on that area

Have you tried taking the belts off and turning the machine on to see if the motor will run? Because it sounds as if the motor is frozen . If it is you may could just give the armature and shaft a good cleaning and it may be just fine. If it's the armature wiring all messed up then you'll need to get it rewound or buy a new motor.UGH !
