What do you think real christian are supposed to believe?
I am often shocked when my friends who are alternative lifestyle individuals tell me what they think christians all believe.
What do you think Christians should believe on the issues?
1. Homosexuality
2. Gay Marriage
3. Equal rights for Gays
4. Gays getting saved?
Wow a couple of angry people on here.
Lol someone even took the term "alternative lifestyle" as an insult..
It seems most of you had have some run in with some interesting bible thumpers..
Judge not lest ye be judged is the most over used and misused verse in the bible.
A better way of saying this verse would be.
"Condemn not lest ye be condemned"
Well I am a christian.. and I am shocked at what some christians think the bible says.. and what they spew to people
I think christians have turned more people off to GOD than any non christian ever has.

1. Judge not les you be judged
2. Same as #1
3. Same as #1
4. All can be saved. It's about loving God with all your heart, loving you neighbors as well, and accepting that Jesus is the Son of God, and the Messiah that was foretold by prophets. That he came to earth, lived among us, died for our wrong doings, and was resurrected 3 days later. Basically, we are all the same and no one is better than anyone else.
These are what REAL Christians DO believe.

1-3) God created all things, including gay men and women. All should be accepted for who they are, and allowed to enter into loving relationships with another.
4) Christ's blood sacrifice on the cross provides the salvation for ALL who have sinned. Remember... All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The Bible does not have an exception clause. It says ALL are saved by Christ if they believe.

I think they should listen to the words of Jesus, who asked that they love their fellow children of God, and treat them well.
This would include not judging others or being bigoted against them based on how God created them to be, whether that is LGBT or straight.
This would include fighting for equal rights for all.
God and I have a perfectly fine relationship. What is it that I need to be 'saved' from, other than a few piety-mouthing hypocritical people who preach hatred, and then call themselves "christians?"

1. Homosexuality is wrong. God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.
2. It's wrong. How can you honestly think God is happy dancing in heaven because humans are abusing every pleasing thing he made. Even sex. Its not right. Legalizing it wouldn't be good at all.
3. Equal rights. Hmph. The last time i checked they had all the same amendments as us. Just in the past, they had enough decency to not go about parading it in front of children's eyes.
4. Anyone can go to Jesus! You just got to understand that one of the biggest parts in your life in unpleasing in his eyes.

I could care less what "real" christians are supposed to believe. What's a "real" christian anyway? I've seen a few "unreal" christians, like Fred Phelps, freaking dude is unreal, but who is to say what a real christian is? No one on this planet, that is a certainty. Besides, as far as I'm concerned, all christians have it wrong. I will not allow anyone to tell me how to behave based upon christianty. It's as foreign to me as fresh air is to a fish.

I believe that Jesus loved me so much that He died a painful death to pay for my sins.
I believe that Jesus loves everyone that way.
I believe that He told us to treat others like we want to be treated. (Think hard about that, that one commandment answers No.s 1-4 above. How do you want people to treat you?)
I believe that He told us to care for the weak, the hungry, the stranger, and the poor.
I believe that He told us not to judge, that is the Father's right not ours.
I believe that He told us to love one another like He loves us.
I believe that we offend Him when we are judgmental, unloving, self-righteous, proud and uncaring.
