Anyone recently get the 3 red rings of death on XBOX 360?

I did on Monday. It sucks to know that I'm not going to have my 360 back in time for Halo 3 in 2 weeks.

I have gotten them a couple of times but I just turn the system off and wait a minute, then turn it back on and its fine. Don't know why though, it's weird but it works.

wow i hate human beings bashing the xbox and answering this question by ability of asserting get a ps3. geez. i think of you probably did no longer positioned adequate thermal paste on the chips. the two that or you probably did no longer even it out nicely adequate. it truly is someone-friendly element i regarded over as quickly as I fastened mine the 1st time. I used an previous mastercard or something similair to even out the thermal paste everywhere and making effective i had a surprisingly thick layer. *no longer too think of nonetheless. in case you have this concern too many cases after too many tries, try putting the x clamps back on. some have suggested that the x clamps dont do as lots injury as human beings think of and the only reason is the cheap or loss of thermal paste.

Know some people that had it last month. Seemed to be happening a lot back in August. Have hope! They might be able to get it to you just in time. Did you ship it regular or did you express it?

Yeah, my friend recently got a hardware failure. He sent his to MS about 3 weeks ago and only got it back yesterday. It was a completely new console though - he had marks on his which he could identify, but when 'it' came back, it seemed to be a new console.. Strange that it took them so long to replace it..

    This worked for me. http://xbox360.getyourdrivers.com/

You have to pay a very small fee BUT it worked, and mine was up and running in under 45 minutes. It beats waiting 6 weeks for microsoft to repair and ship back.
