How do I convert all my .gifs back to .jpegs?
I went to load a new photo into my yahoo 360 and all my jpegs are now gifs. I am not sure how it happened (maybe when I installed Nero) but I can't get them back. I tried opening one and doing a 'save as'. No luck. All of my photos are like this, old and new. Any suggestions?
I have opened several in paint, and other programs. when I save as jpeg, i go back into my pictures folder and the new file is still a gif. It is not animated

You can use Irfanview and do a batch conversion:

Well if you are using a windows operating system I can help you with it. Just follow this instructions.
1. Right Click the Picture, then Open With Paint. If not Paint is not present then click Choose Programs. Then Find Paint the click Ok.
2. On the paint, Open the File Tab, Save As.
3. Change the *.gif file extension with *.jpg. Choose a different file name so you can find the new file easily.
Hope this helps.

I would try this as long as the ".gif" is not animated, You can convert it to JPEG with Paint.
Press start, Then Press Run. Type mspaint
Open the GIF with paint.
Then Press Save As, And pull down the menu and press JPG.
Then save it, And there you go!
Good luck and i hope this helps!

With this. http://www.freewarefiles.com/program_3_220_21323.h...
It's a freeware image converter, and no spyware when downloading from this site.
Try this one. I just got the link from someone answering a similar question. It seems to work well, and no spyware from this site. http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/
