Are Oreos chocolate? My husband and I are having a debate.?

    They have cocoa in them. So technically, yes.

    Technically cocoa is not chocolate. Chocolate comes from cocoa and the cocoa bean, the listed indgredients on Oreos only says cocoa, therefore Oreos do NOT have chocolate in them! I'm the husband btw.

    No -- if I want chocolate I want chocolate -- an Oreo is a cookie -- a baked good --- not chocolate

    There is chocolate flavoring in them - but if you wanna know all the ingredients, they're listed on the package.

    You are both right - the cookie outside is a chocolate/cocoa base, while the center is supposed to be vanilla........

    they are chocolate /chocolate flavored cookies. i consider real chocolate like an actual piece of chocolate or candybar.
