Weighed 129 5'4" before pregnancy, gained 34 lbs (163 at the end) lost 24 lbs in the first 2 weeks and now 16 months later I am 12 lbs less that I was before pregnancy (117). No exercise. Just breastfeeding! I think it depends on metabolism, but when I was nursing the pounds just melted away. The trick is to drink lots of water and eat ONLY when you are hungry, and eat healthy. Don't pig out.
Don't be depressed about the way you look. Your body had to change to grow life.

Before I got pregnant I was a size 8 and now I'm a 12. I lost all of the weight from my stomach but my butt will not got down. My baby is also 4 months. I said forget it the world better love it or leave it because I'm getting comfortable with this new weight.

hi, first of all get it into perspective....... months on, 9 months off! i went from a size 10 to an 18 with my first. my second i was size 14 to start but in 12 months got down to a 12. had third 6 months ago, was a 10-12 and now a size 12, but baby weigt all gone so just my proportions need to change. You will do it because you want to. eat 3 meals a day, dont skip breakfast drink loads and loads of squash and when hungry in between eat fruit! i wore ankle weights when pushing pushchair as couldn't fit exercise in!
good luck and congratulations, your baby will love you whatever you look like!

I would work on some kind of fitness routine. I gained only 13 pounds with my 1st pregnancy and lost 40 pounds over the first year. I swear I was still wearing the same size! They key is to tighten up and not just lose weight.
Good Luck!

Breastfeeding did it for me. I went from a 12-14 to an 8 through breastfeeding and as a result I look really skinny and haggard. I have the opposite problem! I wish I could put some weight on!

I gained more weight after I had the baby then throughout my pregnancy. :'( I didn't lose any until I stopped breastfeeding. Although I tried. It's not too early for you to eat healthy and depends on how you're feeling for exercise.

Breastfeeding makes all the difference. I am 12 weeks post-partum after having gained 45 pounds during pregnancy, and I now weigh less than I did before I got pregnant. Granted, my stomach is not the same...it's still pouchy and weird, and a little wrinkly.

Well, I'm on baby 3 in three years (Oops.) But, I always notice the most weight lost is either when I'm walking with them in the stroller or when they start walking and I'm chasing them :)
Hope it helps!

Everybodys different, The saying goes "it took 9 months to get it there, expect 9 months to take it off"
Friends of mine took roughly that (at the non celeb pace!!!) Me? Well 4 yrs on and I was shifting it, just discovered Im going to be putting it back on again!!!!
The general rule of sensible eating does work, so eat sensibly, put junior in the buggy, get some brisk walking in and you should loose at a gradual rate. Good Luck.
