Is it possible to replicate content on a mobile phone screen onto a computer screen ?
I am looking at projecting this further onto a projection screen.

It is possible if your phone has a USB socket and the correct software. Some phones come with a TV out socket (for example the Samsung E900) so content could be displayed on a projector without any problems. It really would depend on the model of phone you'd be using.

Yes it is possible with many phones that are on the market these days as long as you have the software which came with your phone, such as sony ericson and their disk to phone software. This lets you transfer music and photos from your phone to the pc.
