I need hair advice/help. Ladies?
My hair use to be perm straight yet really long [to mid back]. So then I cut it short [shoulder length, layered]. Now that I cut it my hair is really poofy and not straight anymore. Well one side of my hair would be normal, wavy yet straight. But the other side would like flip out. Any way I can prevent my hair from flipping out at all?
I straighten it too, but it still flips out a little.
I have really thick hair.

I don't think there is anything you can really do. It flips out because of the way the hair grows - when your hair is shorter, it is lighter and so able to poof out. When your hair was longer, it was also heavier, so it didn't poof out because the wait of the hair kept it straighter.
Using a blow dryer and a brush to straighten out the section might help. Otherwise, grow it long again or try parting it on the other side and see if you like that look better.
Good Luck!

I also had short hair at one time and had the same problem. One side of my hair was straight and the other was wave and kind of curved in. I found that If you let it air dry and the straighten it it helps a bit I really am not sure =/ It might depend on how good a quality straightener you have.

try blow dry it with a roller brush, sometimes blow dry (to straighten your hair) works better than the straigthener, thats why in general hairdresser tend to you the hair dryer and when you are using your straingthener your hair need to be dry which means the flip has already created this will hard to correct by using straigthener. so try blow dry straight.
i hope it will work for you,it did for me.
good luck

aww you're so extraordinarily! i can not have self belief you're wanting information, you look impressive! i assume you need to do the 'smokey eye' result. that should paintings. i might use browns or charcoals. do no longer bypass overboard, nonetheless! i like your glasses too, they physique your face completely. Glasses are so stylish! Glowy dermis? save it clean, first. Then, prepare a daub of peachy blush to the apples of your cheeks. Smear it in and it will look superb. in no way prepare too lots of any makeup or you look cheesy. good success!
