I would take him to a place that has meaning to him or one were he will get to do what he enjoys. If he is into sports, take him to a ball game. If he loves music, look for a concert or club playing his favorite genre. Loves steak, take him to the best steak house in town. Prefers the outdoors, find a good hiking trail and pack a picnic with his favorite foods. Goes gooney over muscle cars, rent one for the day and go for a long drive.

The most important thing is that it is something that he would enjoy and pick to do if you let him choose. Not only will he have fun but he will appreciate that you went to the effort to make him happy.

Ask him what he would like to do on his birthday. This is really the only way to show him the best time ever...give him what he wants. You will surprise him with your gift. Sometimes, just asking a person what they want to do, is much more of a gift then trying to present them with a pre-planned event that you believe they will enjoy. Just ask him.

Just wing it. Make it a weekend of what he wants to do. You didn't say where you live but I am sure there are tons of things he likes to do in your area. Just have fun. BTW wish him a happy Bday for me too. Have a great day ( or weekend)

what about just gettin a hotel room and having a nice night tonight? that is what my bf and ialways did and most places you can get a hot tube room for like 100 bucks or so then just oder pizza or take him to dinner near there and maybe just get him a few shirts or a movie or 2 something easy since your already gettin him the phone

Rent a hotel room,but before taking him there,fix the room nice with candles,flowers,incense,oils,bublebath,get drinks,snacks and get yourself a nice babydoll and go to spencer and get some games,also get a white flat sheet and body paint,you paint his body any way you want and let him paint yours then laid on the sheet an your back then on your stomach,write the date on the sheet and then you write something special about him on the side that you laid on then he does the same thing you keep his side and he keeps yours,makes a great memories.just an idea.

Aside from doing things you both enjoy, why not ask him to visit his relatives? You would know him better, they will tell you things he wouldn't let you know cause he thinks it'l embarass him but you would know him more, he might wanted to visit close relatives but doesnt have time, you could visit them both.
