Why can I no longer access profiles or Yahoo help from Yahoo messenger using Vista?

I have installed the latest version of Yahoo messenger (8.1) for Vista , but nothing happens when I click on a friends profile and I cannot edit my own profile either.Turned off firewall, pop-up blockers and virus checker etc, makes no difference. All is ok with XP on another PC ...any ideas?

    i have the same problem, but use xp. I dont think it has to do with vista

    Open Messenger Left click ( > ) Messenger > selections > Archive - set to keep all messages > prepare > ok Your destiny on line and offline messages would be study right here or from 'Contacts' > Message Archive.
