whats it worth ? Cannondale 2000 si?

A friend of mine offered to sell me his Cannondale 2000 si. Its in great shapre for being 2-3 yrs old (probably no more then 500 miles w/ regular maint. He has'nt told me a price yet but I dont want to get ripped off either - any help ??

    Well, 3 years old with almost no miles means it's like new. It looks like 2004 was the last year for this model. It's not easy putting a price on a bike without seeing it. If it is all Ulterga 10 with Mavic Ksyrium SL wheels it likely when for about $2000. Is it all original? The wheels are top notch and cost $$$ themselves. It's really a sweet bike.

    To give a perspective I bought a 2002 r2000 si team replica a year ago. I paid $800 on EBay. It was in very good condition with a least several 1000 miles. Ultegra 9 speed and Spinergy SPOX wheels (not original, nice but not as costly as the Mavics at all) I think I got a super deal.

    So like new 2004 with those Mavics $1200 or so would be a very good price. If he asks a little more I wouldn't be surprised. Like new means tires and chain are still good to go too. Just make sure it's the right size for you.
