homemade stilts. Take two buckets or empty paint cans and turn them upside down. Make two holes in each one on the sides at the top (which is really the bottom) and tie long pieces of rope to them to form a big loop. How it works is you stand on the cans and hold the ropes while you try to walk. it's fun, I did it when i was that age.

A lady at work gave me this idea the other day. If you go to a store like wal mart or kroger or whatever sometimes you can find these little bitty like mini bottles of water that are kinda shaped like rocket ships. If you peel the label off the kids could put paper on them or paint them to decorate them. And it will encourage them to drink water!!

you could make a sock puppet! and draw different faces on them and make a puppet show. encourage the older kids to help make it so it makes it more fun.
