Why are women in the Middle East treated so bad ?
On the news they showed a video of a women being stoned to death. But overall, it just seems like animals have more rights than women in the Middle East. What is the deal ?

Men in the middle east believe they are superior to women due to their religious traditions, but more importantly, that is not and should not be America's problem.

No! Stop listening to the news! The media has completely warped the Middle Eastern cultures!
While there are some places (such as Saudi Arabia) where women have basically no rights, in most Middle Eastern countries women have jobs and go to school just like Westerners. Their veils and whatnot aren't a sign of male supremacy. It's considered modest in their culture. Men (for the most part) cover up too.
I have friends from Egypt who visited (males and females) and even when it was blistering hot outside (and they admitted it was reallyreally hot) they wore garments that covered their arms and legs...Yes the men did too. It's just a sign of modesty and respect.
In Iran, for example, women are proud to wear the long black veils and outfits. During the Iranian Revolution, women who stood up against the army wore such garments. It's a symbol of national pride to them.
Don't listen to the media. For the most part: women are doing just fine in the middle east.
Response to another comment: And the majority of them are NOT primitive. They don't live in tents and ride donkeys! Sure we see a lot of "out in the middle of no where" things on TV (once again, don't trust the media!) but if you actually do your research about these places you'll see they live mostly in urban cities and are well-educated.

Hey twin.. lol.. My guest on this is because Women are the cause of the worlds problems.. they really cant be trusted God placed us here to watch over them and to lead.. but Stoning I dont agree with thats cruel and really those cats are extreme.. I have never seen so many people wait correction.. The Middle east has always been self rightious... They even Killed Jesus.. Think they know the whole interpratation of the word of God... I never read about stoning women to death

The more primitive the society, the less rights the women have.The women are treated like beasts to be beaten and ruled. The women are kept ignorant, uneducated, They wear full face masks so people can't see their black eyes.

It is the result of HISTORY and local culture. I do not agree with treating women badly.
