Reliant is good and has a low deposit amount even with bad credit.

However, a friend of mine had Direct Energy and got behind on a couple months worth of bills (est. $1000 worth) and they let her try to keep making payments and stuff instead of shutting it off on her.

we have gexa energy. we are locked in at 9 cents, but it depends on where you live, you may not get a choice. - still, our last bill was $515.00. - it sucks here. I cam from Cali and it was wayyyyy cheaper out there for energy.

Reliant worked best for me. No problems. Great customer service.

    STAY AWAY FROM TXU!

Reliant is alright. A little cheaper than TXU.

You can compare all of them at the website run by the Texas public utility commission.
