You should never abruptly stop taking any medication without first talking with your doctor, especially those medications that are prescribed for mental illness that have been taken over a long period of time. Yes, something bad can happen, not the least of which is a return of the symptoms of schizophrenia if the med is not restarted. If this someone now has an issue with taking pills, especially taking pills several times a day, there is a long lasting injection. This injection is good for 2 weeks so the patient gets 2 shots each month instead of several pills each day...

It's so bad to stop any medication prescribed or not prescribed without a weaning process. Schizophrenia is a very serious thing and stopping that medication is a very bad idea without a doctors supervision. So can you help and may be contact a family member or close friend to update them. My heart goes out to anyone with this problem and I hope this helps.

Yeah you'll slip up and get caught and what's worse you'll end up in the loony bin with all the hen house baloney and what's more you'll end up getting the stuff by injection.
Besides that stuff eventually works like all things a little sunshine and fresh air won't hurt a bit.

It suppresses overactivity in the brain. If you stop taking it then the old symptoms could come back.
On the bright side, you will be less likely to die of an heart attack or stroke.
