scanned document?
i have a document that i scanned to my computer, that i need to add to but can't. anyone know a program that i can get that will let me edit text on a twain scan
document original was sent to me and must have typed info added so i can't due that due to NO TYPEWRITER, not sure what OCR program is help there would be great, thanks all so far

like the other person said you need OCR software some should of came with your scanner. OCR is object character recognition. If you have Adobe acrobat pro you edit your scanned document that way. you could probably find it at any computer store as well.

Once scanned, your document usually becomes a "picture". You would have to edit the document and rescan it, or use an ocr capable scanning device to turn it back into a document for editing

You can get a scan-to-text program that 'reads' the scan and generates a text file which then can be edited. Usually a program like this comes with your scanner. Some work much better than others.

You will have to run it through a OCR program to convert it from a picture to text.

if time is of the essence, it would probably be better to just add to your previous/original document then just do a rescan.
