he has not become a Washington insider and that is his best quality. but i still wont vote for him. if he was to get elected he would have the best chance for fresh ideals out of any of the Dem's running
the worst thing about him he is another attorney , just what we don't need more of. do we really need the Washington to look like the bar association convention.
Source(s): I LOVE PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT BEEN INVOLVED AT A NATIONAL LEVEL THEY ACCUALLY GET THINGS DONE. THE ONE THING AMERICANS DO RIGHT IS NOT ELECT SENATORS. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME SOMEONE WAS ELECTED FROM THE CONGRESS, DONT SAY FORD OR LBJ THEY WERE NOT ELECTED KNOW YOUR HISTORY. - 1 decade ago
You have an interesting definition for nothing. Obama is one of the few people in politics that Democrats and Republicans have both stated is willing to work with everyone to get the job done. In the Illinois Senate he helped create the Earned Income Tax credit that actually helps families and the middle class opposed to the just the rich. He also helped on numerous education programs in Illinois schools and helped pass Illinois first major ethics reform bill in decades.
In the US Senate he is working to help the Illinois veterans get the benefits to which they are entitled.
What you should do is look into the candidates and where they stand on the issues you care about. And then see what they've done about them. Do some research and don't rely on a media sound bites or Yahoo answers

Public service wise, he was an unremarkable state senator in Illinois. He was also a practicing attorney & it appears as if he brokered a few 'deals' with his sometime friend & next-door neighbor. Rather an unremarkable career & has done less in his lifetime than the current president. Also has not been involved in politics on a national level.

Let's be honest. If Barack were 100% Caucasian instead of 50% he would be completely ignored. All the excitement about him is because many people, including myself would like to someday see a Black president of the U.S. Some people don't care what he stands for or what he'll do. I care very much. I won't vote for Barack or for Hillary. Substance is more important than symbolism.

People make controversy as to whether he is black or white but the truth is he is just really too green to run for the presidency.

Barack Obama is a first-term Senator from Illinois. Before that, he was a State Senator. He was editor of the Harvard Law review.
Mr. Obama is considerably younger than the other candidates, but clearly shows leadership skills and a formidable intellect.

Well from what I just read he did vote in extending Social Security benefits to illegal aliens and they have not paid a dime. What a traitor. All the democrats are traitors.

Nothing much. He did manage to become the darling of the liberal media. But he has no qualification what so ever to be President.
