from bad boy biker {No. Science is the province of knowledge, whereas religion is the province of ignorance. "Belief" is used to bridge the gap in religious systems."} the difference between a scientist and a religious person is that a scientist first proves something and then believes in it, but a religious person first believes in something without even seeking to prove it. Where human's science lack the answers, you can find the religion=ignorance to have some sort of unsatisfactory answers, like the "It is God's will". True many things have been disproved in science, where it was believed to be true some day, but also many things have been proved that can never be disproved, like 2X2=4, or the earth is round and rotates around sound, while religion said that the earth is flat and the center of universe. so the answer is deferentially a NO!
