How do I get DVD player working and accessible on my work PC?
I have downloaded several free dvd "players" and none of them work. I do have a cd/dvd drive. CD's play on PC but not DVD's. Supposedly D drive is not accessible/not ready (per computer system). I have seen soemthing about having a codec? or correct region code? Anyone have any ideas?

If you want to play DVD you have to put DVD Player on your computer. You have only CD-Rom with this you can play only CD’s not DVD’s. You said you have downloaded many DVD players then do one thing you can download DVD movies directly to your computer. After downloading you can play those files using your downloaded DVD Players. Your CD-Rom can not read DVD Discs.
If you have DVD Discs with you and you want to play those DVD Discs on your computer without buying new DVD-Rom then do one thing. Ask your friends those are having DVD – Rom enabled computer. Copy the DVD content in to their computer. Ask their hard disk and copy the same content from their hard disk to your hard disk. Simple.
Thank you!
