why won't Yahoo! Answers make a totally different category for teens?

amen to that.

the parents w/ problems with their teens dont want us here.

and we dont really want some 40 year old mother telling us what to do. (even though some opinions are good, some are just strict and judgmental)

This is the adolescents forum. I am a parent, and I ask questions in here because I have a teen. If a question says "teens only" I can respect that. I guess I could post either in here or in the "parenting" forum. No biggie.

But there is really no way to moderate Yahoo Answers to ensure people are posting in the right forums.

Because the most important thing teens can realise is that adults are EXACTLY like them, just a few years older, and we know exactly what it's like to be a teen. We are not some weird alien lifeform who emerge from pods age 20.

And because the judgmental people will post in it whatever it's called. All that will happen is that the adults who want to help stop doing so.

I know. If people think that teens are too young to be on here, you have to be 13 or older and once your 13 you're a teen. So that's a good idea.

nope, i've got have been given been given a set of "your answer/question has been deleted" messeges, and then they thoroughly erased my total yahoo account, digital mail, 360, pictures, addresses, each and each and each thing. i could want to have incredibly hit a pair nerves there, and all my ideas have been incredibly cool.. Now i behave my self with boring ideas like this and dont use profanity or answer something that could desire to wish to be seen as debatable. the censors gained.

Ummm Adolescents means teens. I don't mind parents answering because a lot of thier advice is pretty helpfull. If you don't want parents to look at ur ?'s then maybe Y!A isn't 4 u.

Parents could just as easily answer questions in the "teen" section even if it wasn't included in the Pregnancy and Parenting. When it says "adolescent", it is intended more for parenting questions regarding teens. Not an area for teens to ask questions. You should be asking questions in the area in which it pertains. If you have a dating question, ask it in the "dating" section. If you have a style question, there's an area for that too. Just don't include your age in the question and you won't get as many "You're too young to worry about that" and should get more straight answers. Make sense? I understand what you are saying though. There should be a section titled "Adolescents" that has its own various categories. Nothing I can do about it though.

maybe theres only a certain amount of categories they can have on one website, and they already have all the categories they are allowed to have, thats the only reason I can come up with.

I totally agree we need a teen section, so many people are angry because all the teens ask questions in here like "Does he like me" but theres no place for them to ask those questions, if they dont like it so much they should fight to get a category just for teens, people are going to post those questions it's just a matter of where.

its a good idea but theres really no way to stop old people from going on it and if there was he/she would probably a creep.
