i heard cop husbands cheat a lot, is this true?

It is not the uniform that makes the decison to cheat, it is the person in the uniform.

Ask the source of those rumors if they have personal knowledge, or just heard it from someone else. My guess is they heard it from someone else.

Yes it is true, especially the married ones. I've been hit on by alot of married cops and so have my friends. They are very happy to have a loving wife, and .I'm...a girl on the side. Some also use prostitutes as they can threaten to arrest them,if they don't put out.With the internet, finding hook ups is even easier for the guys, and with the odd hours cops work it's easy to make up a story. One guy that wanted me to be his fwb, was a young military veteran , now a police detective ...married, little kids at home, and looks like an all American clean cut guy, but on the side he is totally different.

There IS a temptation on occasion when a pretty lady is involved in a traffic stop or some other incident. But that's a personal choice, it doesn't encompass ALL police officers. Usually, marital troubles stem from the fact that the wife can't handle the worry or fear of losing her man due to an officer involved shooting, or maybe the husband become a little more cynical and closed-off, the longer he's on the job; a very real problem. Basically, you need to look at YOUR guy, and his personality.

I totally agree with the person that said you have to get to know the man before you can make a choice. Everyone is different. Younger cops seem to get caught up in the stereotype....because they can. The women that they hook up with don;t help the situation....they see a uniform and they flock to it. Anyone who works long hours that has the potential for overtime, can lie about where they are. Trust me, I have been married to a cop for many, many years, and it is all about trust and their own core values. But, I think that cops get a bad rep because of the uniform --

Look, a guy will cheat if he is a cop or not. It's the mindset, not the job. I can be accused of a lot of things but infidelity is not one of them

That all depends on the man. Just because someone has a job does not make them a cheater. Get to know the man and make up your mind.

For the most part I find that to be a thing of the past. They saying now a day goes "the badge will get you women, but those women will get your badge".

IVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THATS TRUE... HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF FRIENDS THAT HAVE DATED COPS AND THEY WERE ALL MARRIED WHILE DATING MY FRIENDS.... PLUS MY BROTHER HES ALWAYS CHEATED ON MY POOR SISTER IN LAW AND HE MIGHT BECOME A COP IN SHORT TIME....

i rest my case, if he going to cheat , then what can you do about it?

stop worrying ,with things you cant control ........

Don't worry ... it's just a professional courtesy..and it's only with the other guys on patrol.
