Can dogs get staph infections? If so do they need antibiotics?

Update:

My male bit the female she has a pus filled sore now and the pus smells really bad. I'll take her to the vet. Thanks everyone.

Yes they can. They are just as prone to Infection as we are. They also need a pro-biotic & enzymes (Wobenzyme, for Imflammation)to repalce the bacterial flora In the digestive tract that the anti-biotic destroys. If they don't get pro-biotics then fungus/yeast will run rampant leading to other maladies.

Yes they can and they can transfer the infection to humans as well. Antibiotics should take care of it.

Yes and please, get the dog to the Vet so that the correct medication can be prescribed. An untended staff infection can be fatal.
