Imagine if we discovered a means of interstellar space travel, but the process wipes out your entire memory.?

Would ther be a way to make it feasible?

Populate the galaxy using normal slow means. Use this method for communication, cargo, etc. Have them driven by robots.

I suppose there maybe people that wouldn't mind loosing their memories. They could have a monopoly on space travel and war.

It might make an interesting premise for a sci-fi book.

OK, Imagine traveling to a planet many light years away and then thinking "How the heck did I get here?" "Who am I?"

It could be used to transport cargo, but who would want to ride it knowing that they would forget everything? I suppose you could carry enough books and video tapes to teach yourself everything you need to know after the trip is over, but really, who would want to do that? Not me.
