Can you file a nuisance complaint against an apartment complex?

I live in the state of Texas.

(We, meaning neighbors, have already spoken to the manager of this complex about incidents that have gone on and continue to go on at this particular complex.)

File a complaint at the nearest police station or court in your locality so that immediate action will be made against your nuisance neighbors. Allege your cause of action in the complaints in a narrative manner enumerating the irritating actions.

You are entitled to a peaceful and quiet enjoyment of your place (I forget the actual legal term).

If the Apartment is not providing that, as is their legal obligation, then you probably have a civil cause of action. Probably your local mediation service is the place to start, if there is one.

Realistically though, what do you expect to get? What are the damages actually? So they violated the lease, at the best the lease is ended and you are free to move out without penalty.

If it is really that bad with the neighbors (maybe 6 apartments blew up as meth labs this year) then what else do you really expect to happen in the short term?

Source(s): I am not a lawyer btw, and this is not legal advice. But I bet it is pretty fair :)

The complex has done nothing to you. File against the owners
