I just gought the new Grandprix Gxp ... Where's the Beef !!!?
Whay's up man, I just coped a 07, Grandprix Gxp and road tested it on my way home to Gary,IN to show it off. I was crusing along at 66 mph and mind you at $ 31,700.00 I got this motherf**ker hooked up wit the nav, in dash dvd, and sunroof, I put a bose system in it, head rest wit monitor's. Anyway I roll'n out right, and this 05 Gxp pulls up besides me check/n my sh**t out, so nudge up a in front of me, so at that moment I made up my mind to find out what this b***h can do. Partner, let me tell ya this dam thang took off like a bolt of lighting, I left the dude where he was, I looked at my H.U.D I was at 110. Mind you these babies are supposed to push 140+ wit the V8.. This cat came up behind me and shoot around me at about 120mhp, dude you know it was time to floor this bit**h .
I hit for all it was worth , it climbed without hesitation I was hitt'n 140 when I looked in my mirror and saw this guytrying to crawl up on me , but it seemed as tho he didn't have another gear.
So my question is , I should have left this clown in the dust. But he kept up on my *** but couldn't pass me tho. MY RADAR WENT Off and I duked around a rigg and slowed down the other guy shot pass me and the state man got him. I waved at him as I went by. I was feeling like I didn't have the power I expected to have.
Is it becaues it's new or was the older verison just as surperior as mine was? Help me out yall.... I'm thinking of take'n this f**ker back to the dealership, so what's up ??
I just didn't feel like I was the sh**t when I got home, but she look's awsome. I ran up against a mustang and did well seeing that this has an aluminum under carriage., it's not a heavy car at all. How would you guy;s rate this car !!!

His was Supper Charged? I assuming he had the ECM mod. A friend of mine had a Lumina same year mode as my Gran Prix. We ran to test them and he smoked me. Also he had the same V6 3.1 SFI. Well he said that he got the Police ECM mapping done in his car. It changes all the parameters on timing, shift points and all the other things. Kind of unlocks the extra horses.
Do not let the engine size fool you. As an example, the Buick 3.8 Grand National was aka Corvette Killer. 3.8 engines are Buick on design and they placed 2 Turbos with Intercoolers on a plain Buick Regal, painted all black (no bling what so ever, I love it!) and was fast enough to take a Automatic Vette on 1/4 of the mile. The car was limited to 128MPH due to the chassis was not meant to go that fast.
I rate US cars pretty good. I would not say top quality. Is a mid level car and for what you pay are a really good buy for what they are. Still has tons of personality. No like the Japanese build ones that tries to copy some and they all look alike. At least you can tell is a GP from the distance. Try to do that with a Civic :-)) I rest my case ;-)
Now wait for the new GMs with the Theta platform that are supposed to come out soon...

140HP is not impressive to me - especially with a price like that. Bro you could have gotten so much more for that cash - but your done now - so enjoy.

I son't think this dude had the same sh**t you had under the hood, but he may have been factory supercharged also. Don;t give up on that sweet machine so easily, hell you just bought it, it has to be broken in bro.
