I love my job in retail nursery business.?

There will come a time when I cannot lift all the heavy pottery and potted plant material. Searching my brain for a plan of other work that might be good for me. I have been spoiled by being outside for years and fear the enclosure that would come if I worked at the counter there. Any suggestions for alternative employment?

Begin networking now. You don't have to be incorporated to freelance from your home. It's true, the Internet may offer several immediate options; however, business cards are the easiest and most direct method of getting your name in front of your target market.

I would suggest a creative name like " I Talk To The Trees " and an ambiguous job title such as " Plant Manager ". This will avoid any conflict of interest from prospecting at your day job. Also, a quick check of your city's website will prevent you from replicating a name already in use.

Don't forget to post yourself at retail bulletin boards too. Good Luck.

Move inside and sell seed and give advice if you have been at it that long. How about writing a book? Most nurseries are not enclosed. At least not in areas I have lived.

Have you every worked the counter? Things change as you age. A person can adapt to what is needed.

Do you have the background to create landscape designs? If you do, that might be an option.
