Good Asian food in Houston?

Question

I will be staying in the Galleria area this weekend, and my daughter and I would love to try a good Asian restaurant . It doesn't have to be a 5-star upscale establishment, as mom and pop, whole-in-the-wall dives are fine, too. However, it does need to be authentic, reasonably priced, and tastey (i.e. not one that serves enchiladas or mac & cheese on a buffet line). I know there are plenty of good options for Asian cuisine in Houston, but I want to know what some of the locals prefer. Thanks!

I like Yao's on Gessner at Westheimer.

Also, Ocean Palace for their Dim Sum.   Ocean Palace is located in Houston's Chinatown area, which is just west of Beltway 8 on Bellaire Blvd. They also have Sunday brunch (Yum Cha).  
Try the Peking Duck.

Sinh Sinh
Sinh Sinh is one of the best authentic Chinese food restaurants in the Houston area.  

Try the Sizzling Beef and the Sinh Sinh Sampler for an appetizer.

Kim Son
Kim Son serves Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine with multiple Houston locations including one in Stafford.

I really like Yao's located on Gessner@Westheimer. Vietnam Coast at Hillcroft and Richmond, Miyakos at Hillcroft and Westheimer, 713 Japanesse Cuisine @ 10001 Westheimer.

Yao's is good, but I would do benihana.. I'm not sure there is a really good one in Houston. Yao's is very Authenitc and is worth the trip once to check it out.

You should try Yao on the corner of Westheimer and Gessner.
