Mardi Gras?

So I'm writing a children's story book on the Sydney Mardi Gras... Any suggestions? Its just for an English assignments.

Update:

sorry i forgot. you wouldn't get it unless you live in Australia. Mardi Gras is a celebration of Gays and Lesbians in Sydney.
