Is it thrush when baby is Coughing and choking a bit?
Her tongue is a bit white and she is fussy when she breast feeds (doesn't feed as long). She sticks her tongue out too. My other half says she is just discovering her tongue and likes to stick it out. Why the choking? Could it be mucous or phlegm?

Thrush only really causes white patches in the mouth and fussiness in babies. Myabe the coughing is because she has a cold? My daughter sticks her tongue out too, she even tries to grab it! SO that's normal!

If she has white patches in her mouth it is thrush. A white tongue though can be a coating from milk. I've never heard of a baby sticking out her tongue particularly when she has thrush.
She might be coughing and spluttering because you have a lot of milk.

Symptoms of thrush in an infant may include:
White patches inside the mouth and on the tongue that look like cottage cheese or milk curds. Thrush is often mistaken for milk or formula. The patches adhere to the mouth and tongue and cannot be easily wiped away. When rubbed, the patches may bleed.
A sore mouth and tongue and/or difficulty swallowing.
Poor appetite. The infant may refuse to eat, which can be mistaken for lack of hunger or poor milk supply. If the infant is unable to eat because of a sore mouth or throat, he or she may act fussy.
Diaper rash. Diaper rash may develop because the fungus that causes thrush will be in the baby's stool.
I would take the baby to the doctor, it could be serious. Also on the webmd website they have a picture of thrush, so you can look and compare.

My son used to do that. He would stick his tongue out so far untli he gagged himself. It was kind of funny. Soon she will learn not to do that.
