The humanists contribution is that she will always look for the best organizational solution that meets the criteria of most benefit to most people.
The theory is: all people truly equal. Even the rich are equal to the poor. Being a human being is your ticket to equality. Humanism.
The pluralist will look for a consensus. It may or may not always be correct in its formulation of implementation, but the ideal is a kind of numerical synthesis of the ethos.
The theory is, the majority's wishes must be respected.
A formalist usually seeks the course that meets some or other preference based on proven precedents.
The theory is: throughout history people have encountered problem x or situation y, and the best traditional response has been z.
All three of these methodologies have met with all varying degrees of success through history. The humanist organizational structure assures the transmitting of a lineage of progress in the fundamental idea of human rights.
Obviously, I suppose, but it bears saying.
The pluralist organizational principle is best represented in politics... though pluralism is often subverted, it is also always a strong force in partisan structure.
The formalists are always so well dressed, don't you think?
A formalist is useful in mundane structures, where something just needs to get done predictably... a dedicated formalist makes an ideal bureaucrat.
Thanks for a question that allowed for some thought.
