can i add another phone line, but in another apartment?

Lets say i will be moving to a diferent appartment but I wanna open a new phone line in this new apartment. I just added my brother to the lease. So he will be staying in what know is my current apartment and i will be moving to a different one. I dont wanna transfer the line i just wanna open a new one and keep the other one too. So it would be like having two phone lines on my name but in two different apartments. Now, these two apartments are located in the same building.

You may say, well... how he doesn't get his own phone line.

I know

I just wanna know if I can have two lines on my name but in two different apartments

Update:

This is att it is not a cellphone plan

Your provider doesn't care where you live as long as they have a valid address and a name on the contract to whom they can sent the bill and get their money. The "line" has nothing to do with where you live because there is no "line", its WIRELESS.

I have three "lines" on my family plan but the carrier only cares about me. I'm the one they get their money from. It's my problem to know where they live and that's just in case they invite me to dinner.

you can add another line in your name, but im guessing it will be a separate account.
