Honestly, the highest you can go to is around 8 and 10. People at this level are called Grand Masters. There are not that many around the world, so you are lucky if you can work with one.

It's 9th degree black belt. Any 9th degree is called a grandmaster.

10th degree, however there are not many people in the world that have it.

Edit: Here is the information from Kukkiwon for promotion. There are a lot of age and acheivement requirements. This only goes up to the 9th Dan. http://www.kukkiwon.or.kr/english/examination/exam...

However the Kukkiwon/WTF do honor some people with a 10th degree. The ITF only gives up to a 9th degree.

    Who cares??

I'd go for 9th, but the higher ranks are usually awarded, not tested for.

How about you create your own system, you could be a 76th Dan rightaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you can call your style wowawes do, with you being a professor of almightyness or so...

in my style of taekwondo it is 9th dan which is the highest. They are known as a grandmaster. At my club we are very lucky - every few years we get a visit by our grandmaster and he even graded me for my 1st dan!!
